Multi-metric reports let you plot up to four metrics on the same chart or table, putting cost, usage, and efficiency data in context without switching between reports. Now, all four metrics can be custom metrics you've built yourself.
This is especially useful if you're tracking unit metrics (ex. Cost/User, Cost/1,000 API calls) or operational efficiency (ex. Effective Savings Rate) and want to compare multiple derived metrics side by side.
You can also mix custom (either user-defined or ingested via DataHub) and built-in metrics like Cost, Usage, or Savings in any combination, making it easy to spot when metrics that should move together start diverging.
To get started, create or open any report and add up to four metrics using the metric selector. For a walkthrough, see the multi-metric report tutorial. To read more about building your own custom metrics, read the docs.
